But consider the design: the fan is not located directly over the chip, which means the air it intakes will be somewhat cooler than if it had been sitting right on top. The MX 440 is the middle-end of the GF4 MX series, the GF4 MX 460 has yet to see the light of day on retail shelves. I stand amongst the many that are confused as to NVIDIA's choice of calling this chip a GeForce "4" when it is in reality closer to a GeForce 2 than a GeForce 3.
